Protein bioavailability list
WebSep 15, 2024 · The following list includes the bioavailability of a number of different protein sources. A high biological value is associated with a rich and well-balanced amino acid profile, while a low value denotes a lower quality protein. WebMost plant proteins sit somewhere around 60-90% as bioavailable as the best animal proteins for absorption (I believe egg white is the standard). However, these scores don't take into account combinations. I believe that when you combine plant proteins, the bioavailability increases for pretty much all of them to be very available, upwards of 90%.

WebBioavailability is (1) the fraction of an administered dose of a drug that reaches the systemic circulation as intact drug (expressed as F) and (2) the rate at which this occurs. As an i.v. dose is injected directly into the systemic circulation, the bioavailability of an i.v. dose is by definition 100 percent ( F =1).
