WebMar 16, 2011 · 723 Posts. #7 · Mar 16, 2011. i think the best place to start would be the exhaust. dodge purposely made the exhaust ports small to "reduce heat transfer to the heads" (i don't agree with the benefits tradeoff). that with the small manifolds make for a fairly restrictive exhaust. WebMay 1, 2009 · Well there really isnt a whole lot to be done with the intake manifold, basically first thing is make sure the entry and exit ports are all opened up to the gasket diameter, BUT, you first need to check something.
