The enteric coated version pass through the stomach to be absorbed lower down thus avoiding that problem. Longer term some people still develop stomach problems with extended periods of higher doses. WebShe thinks that possibly the prednisone has thinned or weakened my stomach lining to some extent, and then food or drink (namely coffee, soda) and rough food abraded it a bit. That's the working theory! Anyway, she prescribed a new antacid type medication called Dexilant. By the way, it's enteric coated.
