WebTrail 61 begins at the edge of Copper Basin and ventures up Broad Canyon. For the first mile, the trail is fairly gentle before it begins to climb. At 3.5 miles, the trail comes to a junction that’s part of a loop from Baptie Lake to Goat Lake to Betty Lake in the clockwise direction or the reverse in the counter-clockwise direction. WebDrive another 10 miles to the Copper Basin junction, turn right and travel 3 miles to the turnoff to Wildhorse Canyon. Follow the improved dirt road past the Wildhorse guard station for 6 miles to the Wildhorse Campground (fee required).
