The "BR9ECS-5" is the current name for the correct plug in your sled. The NGK spark plug box should also have "6669" in it. This the NGK stock number. The current 800R sleds also take a BR9ECS plug, but thier gap is specified at 0.030" (0.75mm).

You cannot adjust the gap or you may damage the plug and it may break in your engine. Other than that, the plugs penetrate to the same depth and operate at the same temp.

WebJan 11, 2015 · Actually there are 2 different br9ecs plugs. br9ecs-5 are pregapped at .020 and are ngk # 6669 used in carbed engines. br9ecs are pregapped at .028 and are ngk # 4677 and used in sdi engines. You are not supposed to regap any of the ecs plugs.
